Getting started
Choose the scope you need, install it from the repository, and confirm that your agent can discover the workflows.

Before you begin
- Node.js 20 or newer.
- Git and a local clone of the Agent Skills Studio repository.
- Codex or another runtime that discovers skills in ~/.agents/skills/.

Choose the environment first

Codex / Agent Skills
Use the default installer when Codex or another Agent Skills-compatible runtime should discover these methods.
~/.agents/skills/02 / Filesystem · personal or project
Claude Code
Use the Claude Code target when the methods should be discovered from Claude Code's native skill locations.
~/.claude/skills/<project>/.claude/skills/Personal is the default. Add --scope project when the current project should own the installed skills.
03 / Upload or plugin marketplace
ChatGPT
Install one Skill ZIP directly or import the complete skills-only marketplace in an eligible workspace.

Run commands from the repository root. Choose the complete collection, a single skill, or an active pack.

These commands use the default personal target and write to ~/.agents/skills/.
Complete collection
Installs the complete canonical collection into the selected personal filesystem target.

For one skill, download its ZIP and upload it directly. For the complete collection, import the skills-only plugin from GitHub in an eligible workspace.

Verify the installation
List the destination and confirm that the selected skill directories contain their canonical SKILL.md files.

If the path is wrong
The default installer targets ~/.agents/skills/. Use --target claude-code when Claude Code should discover the skills instead.

Update safely
Pull the latest repository changes, then run the same installer command again. Each selected skill is staged and replaced atomically.

Remove deliberately
Delete only the named skill directory from ~/.agents/skills/. Removing a pack means removing each skill that the pack installed; shared skills may still be used by another pack.
